The Alabama Women's Caucus for Art is a chapter of the national Women's Caucus for Art organization. The Women's Caucus for Art was established in association with the College Art Association, in 1972, with the mission to create community through art, education, and social activism and to promote women's contributions to the arts.
Our members are visual arts professionals, curators, gallery administrators, arts faculty, practicing, working and teaching artists, arts-based business owners, and other creative professionals. While the organization has traditionally been a professional organization for those working in the visual arts, the Alabama Chapter would like to invite all creative women professionals to become a member. "Art is Art!", Ulla Barr (VP Chapter Relations)
Founded in 2015, we are currently based out of Huntsville, AL, as many of our founding members are from Huntsville and the surrounding areas, to include Tennessee. We strongly encourage all women creative professionals from the state of Alabama and its surrounding cities and states to become members!
